Missed one important point. Bitcoin is not a decentralized app for “payments”. It’s a decentralized app for storing value. Payments is secondary for most users. I use it for a few things, like buying drugs, etc. … but mostly just for secreting away loose change for a rainy day. Basically that’s what everyone who uses it does.
